ALBANUEVA
PROJECT: Single-family home
TASK: New Construction
SURFACE AREA: 400 M2
LOCATION: Albanueva neighborhood, Tigre
YEAR: 2013

In order to dematerialize the boundary between inside and outside, the flooring is unique for the whole house and the gallery. In the living area, both to the front and the back, the large windows overlook a mirror of water and the pool, creating a sense of floating, of IN-OUT blurring the boundaries.
The selected materials make that, beyond an architecture of simple lines, the minimalist house has a warmth that invites you to enjoy its different environments. Glass, wood, concrete and stone are amalgamated in a balanced and sophisticated combination.

A house on an intimate and familiar scale of 400 square meters covered, implanted on a 1200 square meter plot, in a Tigre neighborhood. The structural idea of the design was the natural luminosity and the connection with its implantation in front of the water. The house has large open spaces, large windows, which transforms the spaces into clear and bright environments. Spatial fluidity predominates.
The architecture is linear with perpendicular planes and empty spaces that achieve contrast between horizontality and verticality, inside and outside, light and darkness, as an explicit game of polarities to which space is subjected.
The glass, skillfully used, amplifies the feeling of spaciousness and connects harmoniously with the exterior environment. Wood brings a natural and welcoming quality, elegantly counterbalancing the robustness of concrete and the sobriety of stone. These elements are combined in a palette that highlights the purity and functionality of the design, creating serene, contemporary spaces ideal for rest and contemplation.
